Our company

Clamonta was founded in 1954 as a manufacturer of machined components for industrial and marine gas turbines. The company expanded into the aerospace industry in the early 90s and specialised in the manufacture of lockplates for the Rolls-Royce Trent series of engines. Using innovative methods, Clamonta were able to completely machine these parts which had traditionally been pressed/machined offering much greater accuracy but at reduced cost.

The business expanded rapidly and in 1999 it moved to its present site which has 20,000 square feet of manufacturing space. In 2007 Clamonta became part of Symmetry Medical Inc which has sites worldwide manufacturing medical and aerospace components. Today Clamonta manufactures over 4000 different parts from simple turned to complex prismatic components.

Clamonta offers real-time order status

We are pleased to announce the addition of real-time notification of order status to our MRP system. Customers can now receive instant email alerts whenever the status of a flagged order changes. This will enable tracking of a job from material order, through the shop floor, to despatch. At any time you will know exactly where your order is and what is happening to it.

Capability:

We manufacture turned parts from 2 to 1220mm diameter and milled parts up to 1000 x 500mm from a wide range of materials including carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminium, titanium, nimonics, inconel and stellite. We have dedicated machining cells for both low volume and high volume work complemented by full grinding capability.With waterjet, electrical discharge machining and NADCAP approved heat treatment and non-destructive testing facilities we are able to offer a complete in-house manufacturing service.
